An honest and real insight into Dementia, based on actual experience. We laughed and we cried but most important we learnt some valuable tips.

Such a well written, honest, and humorous yet tasteful account of what can be described as hard times with edge of your seat commentary, recounted with love and selfless description. Kerry's heart and soul can be felt throughout the book. Tears, giggles, and heartfelt moments experienced during this read. Highly recommend, not just for those who are in similar situations, but for anyone who enjoys a heartfelt read. 5 stars.

I could identify with your journey Kerry as I travelled the same path with my lovely Mum. Book made me laugh and cry. I recommend this to anyone wanting to understand the despicable cruel disease of dementia.

I loved the book the Longest Goodbye. It was uncanny how much it was like my mum and I in so many ways. It made me feel less alone in my grief and 'losing' my mum to dementia and the long goodbye. I also loved the poems at the end of the book. I might try and read one at my mums funeral. Thank You

This is such a wonderful, heartfelt book to read. I really resonated with it as we have just placed mum into aged care with vascular dementia. I could relate to so may of the situations in the book. I laughed and cried at different times through the book. It is very well written and tells what it is really like. Such a cruel, cruel disease, but shows you still love your mum no matter what and if the tables were turned, she would be there for you. Definitely a 5 star read.

Throughly enjoyed the book, tragic and beautiful and a journey I travelled with my Dad.
I remembered the struggles and also the little wins on a journey that ultimately resulted in my Dad’s death. Such a cruel disease and made harder by the inability at times to find somewhere suitable for our loved ones where we know they will be safe and cared for..
